My name is Joe Johnson.  But who am I?  And what really makes me tick?  I’ve often wondered the same thing.  Luckily, after hours of soul searching and many long nights fueled by a new found obsession with coffee, I have come up with an answer.  I’m a skier, writer, rock climber, runner, hiker, backpacker, world traveler, part-time poet and wannabe musician.  I’m easily amused and distracted.  I’ll try anything once, and probably twice if we’re talking about a tasty microbrew.  I dig meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing mine. My feet are my main mode of transportation and are always carrying me to my next adventure.

    Hey there,

Your friend Ryan Kristin, who happens to be a friend of mine, passed along your post about the “Ski Bum Economics.” I have to say that I am a proper fan. I quit my “good” job and am spending the season ski-bumming in Courchevel, France. It is by far the best damn decision I have ever made.

Anyway, it sounds like you have the same idea of life as I do. I dig it.

      Hi Liv,

Always glad to hear from a fellow ski bum, especially one who shares the same view on life, work and how the two should compliment each other. I love that you’re in Courchevel, France! That sounds amazing! How has the winter been so far?
